Mr. Daniel Emaasit has a master’s degree in Human Security from Aarhus University (School of Culture & Society) Denmark. He has a Post Graduate Diploma in Conflict Management and Peace Studies from the Institute of Peace & Strategic Studies, Gulu University (2010/2011) and wrote his thesis on Assessing the Impact of organisational conflict on the performance of health workers in Gulu District. A case study of Gulu Regional Referral Hospital. In addition, Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Organisational Psychology from Makerere University Kampala (2005-2008).

He is currently focussing on assessing the impact of land grabs on the livelihoods of affected local communities in Northern Uganda and he will use a case study approach and qualitative research methods for his Master thesis and the project will be guided by set objectives. He is affiliated to the Land and Trust project and he will be based at the Institute of Peace and Strategic Studies, Gulu University for his work placement as well as field work coordination.
